Guest Recipe: Chocolate Banana Almond Bread with Christen

I’m having some of my favorite bloggers share some of their holiday traditions, recipes, and tutorials while I’m in Mexico for a while! I hope you enjoy their stories! Today I have Christen from Christen E. Krumm!

What do you get when you have unsweetened cocoa, extremely ripe bananas and a huge craving for chocolate?

Chocolate Banana Almond Bread!

This was seriously one of the yummiest throw together breads I’ve had and super easy! It’s going down on my list of breads to make for Christmas.

Chocolate Banana Almond Bread

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 stick butter, melted and cooled
  • 3 or 4 ripe bananas, mashed well
  • 1/2 cup almonds

Mix everything together. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 65 minutes until the bread has risen and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

I’m pretty sure this bread would be amazing with chocolate chips in it as well. Adding more chocolate is never a bad thing!
