Fun Birthday Gift Idea: Money Filled Balloons

With birthdays around every corner, I am always on the hunt for fun {cheap} birthday gift ideas. I was happy to find an idea for a gift idea that also ships well- which is especially helpful because we recently moved.

First, start with a crisp dollar bill.

Then, roll up the dollar nice and tight- the smaller the better.

Then, begin to push the dollar into the balloon. When it gets stuck, use one hand to stretch out the balloon around the dollar. Then blow up the balloon and tie it off.

For this particular gift, I used 7 balloons. Then, I put them in the box to ship.

And voila, 7 balloons that my little nephew gets to enjoy popping, and he also gets to add $7 to his piggy bank.
Plus, this box weighs basically nothing so it will be cost effective to ship.

Win, win, win.

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Usually I am not really fond of gifting money, I just don’t think it’s that personal. But I can imagine your little nephew will love this version, very creative and fun indeed!

  2. Ha! That is so cute!

  3. This is such a cute idea! I may have to do this for my baby cousin’s birthday. She’s local so I could fill up a whole trash bag for her to get into!
