A friend told me this recipe for Symphony Bar Brownies a couple of years ago and it has been a huge hit every time I make them. I love the gooey-ness of the brownies and the candy bar center. I hope you love it too!
Here’s what you need:
+ 2 brownie mixes
{or you can make them from scratch if you are feeling brave :)}
+preferably 3 Symphony bars
{I accidentally only bought two last time I made them but it still worked. But usually you need 3 for a 13×9 pan}
Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix first brownie mix according to the instructions on the box. Pour into 13×9 pan.
3. Layer Symphony bars on top of the first brownie batter.
4. Mix together second brownie mix according to box instructions. Pour batter on top of Symphony bar layer.
5. Cook brownies in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until the middle is cooked through. You can check by inserting a knife or a toothpick in the center and it should come out clean.
6. While brownies are cookies, relax and lick the batter off the spoon :)
7. Take brownies out of oven and let them cool for about an hour so the Symphony bars can harden a little bit in the middle. If you want them meltier, you don’t have to wait as long.
When they are done, they will look something like this:
{except I couldn’t take a good picture of them cause I stink at food picture skills}
If you try this recipe I would love to hear what you think of it!
Or if you have any other candy bar suggestions to use instead of Symphony bars.
ENJOY!
I choose solitude over social scenes. Tea and wine over soda and beer. Simplicities over complexities. And chocolate over all of those things any day.

Holy Moly do those look good or what!!! Heading to the store tomorrow to stock up on ingredients! Nom Nom
Yes you definitely need to try it! Tell me how it went :)
Oh wow this is the post for me! Thanks Megan. When I saw that picture of the Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix pop up on my Bloglovin I just had to click on it. I ALWAYS use these mixes when making brownies for friends and family (although I prefer to bake from scratch when possible, this mix is just such a big hit, and no one ever knows were they come from..its my secret!) (I use the 13×9 Family Size in a 9×9 pan for thicker brownies). I was just thinking last week of what I could add to the mix to change it up a bit. Will definitely try this one!
oh yeah Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies are the best hand down! {besides homemade} We love them and that’s the only kind we get. We’ve tried others and they aren’t as good, haha. I have made homemade ones once and they were good too but the Betty Crocker are quick and easy. :) I can’t wait for you to try this recipe! Please let me know how it goes! :)
These sound AMAZING! Brownies are the hubs’ favorite dessert, he would really love this recipe I’m sure!
yes they are SO good!! let me know how they turn and out and if your husband likes them :)
omigoodness! Wow.
THAT is decadent. Amazing. (I’m very close to drooling.)
Consider this recipe favourited! :D
So, I just found this recipe from Pinterest and was inspired to make them. SO glad I did! They were amazing! I was concerned at first because I was using a non-stick pan and the box of brownies said to reduce the temp. to 325 when using non-stick but I decided to stick with what you said. I’m glad I did. Thanks again for the great recipe!
