Simple DIY Notebook

Have you ever come across one of those complicated DIY tutorials showing you how to bind your own notebook?  Well, if you’re like me, you hardly have the time {or the patience} to tackle a project like that.  I’m always on the lookout for cute notebooks though.  So when I spotted these paper packs at Michael’s for only 25 cents each, I knew they would make the perfect little notebook.  This project will be done in no time, and will hardly come near the cost of purchasing a brand new notebook!

Here are the supplies you’ll need:

• Coordinating scrapbook paper, or simple ‘paper packs’ found at Michael’s
• Couple pieces of regular printer paper {or other scrap paper to fill in your notebook}
• Paper cutter or scissors
• Small amount of trim or ribbon
• Hole punch
• {And don’t forget that perfectly matching pen!}

Just a note:  my paper packs came pre-cut in 6×6 inch squares, and I based my measurements off that.

Ready?  Let’s get started!

Cut your blank printer paper to match the rest of your paper pack.  If you’re using a different size, just cut all your sheets so they are the same size.

Arrange the different patterns intermingled with blank pages so your notebook is in the order you’d like.

Again, this measurement is based off my 6×6 inch square pieces.  If you’re using a different size, just hole punch your sheets evenly across one edge.

See.  Wasn’t that simple?!  Now you’ve got yourself a cute little notebook to jot down all those new ideas you come up with!  I was able to finish this quick project in less than an hour, so all you mothers out there with little ones running around will definitely be able to finish this during naptime!
