Our personal take on whatever topics we come up with OR ones you suggest. We write our answers separately and then compare to see how different we are. Sometimes we already knew what the other one would answer and sometimes we realize we don’t know each other as well as we thought we did.
TV Shows or Movies: I really love both television and movies. However if I had to pick one, I would go with TV shows. It is extremely hard to fit an entire story into a 2 hour movie. I think that is why a lot of people think the book is always better than the movie. The Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings books had so much cut from them in the movie versions because you can’t have a 6 hour movie. Television shows can more easily tell a story. You can be more attached to the characters. There is also the anticipation of waiting a week to watch the next episode.
Video Games or Board Games: I grew up playing video games. I remember playing the original NES back in the late 80′s. It was amazing to me. I am a huge fan of role playing video games (Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, ect.). Much like how television shows can tell a story, so can video games. I just don’t get that from board games.
E-Reader or Actual Book: I am a big fan of E-Readers. You can have 1000′s of books in the palm of your hand. Printed books just take up too much room for my liking. They tend to sit on a shelf and gather dust. There are some types of books such as cook books that I think are better in printed format.
Cable or Internet: Whether it is a movie or TV show, I love my cable TV. There is always something to watch. The internet doesn’t do that for me. Although, I’m sure I could waste numerous hours on random web sites and wonder where my day went.
A night at home or a night out: I have always been a homebody. I don’t think that will ever change. I definitely prefer a night at home cooking or watching a movie than going out to eat or a movie theatre.
TV Shows or Movies: I’m all about a good movie with a perfect ending. But overall, I think I’d pick TV shows – as long as it’s the right series. I love a good series that can pull me in and make me relate to or sympathize with the characters. The whole “give them something to root for” line from the Hunger Games ? Perfect for both! I want to be crying when the characters cry, laughing when they’re happy, and angry when they’re upset. Based off of my answer, I think I get too involved with TV shows and movies.
Video Games or Board Games: Video games all the way. I love board games and I love how simple/easy they can be. But I’m a geek at heart and new electronics are a huge weakness of mine. I grew up playing Sim City and Zoo Tycoon type instead of board games so I guess my love for the digital age started when I was pretty young.
E-Reader or Actual Book: Same as above. I love a real book and definitely read differently when I have one compared to an e-reader, but I think I love electronics waaaay too much. Not to mention, I’m in LOVE with reading magazines on our iPad now. So. Much. Less. Clutter!
Cable or Internet: Considering you can watch tv and movies on the Internet, I guess I feel like it’s kind of a dumb question. BUT… even if it didn’t, I’d probably still pick the Internet. There is way more to do when it comes to wasting time on the Internet. Plus? Without it, we wouldn’t really have this blog. Or our shop. So basically our lives would be over.
A night at home or a night out: Night in every time. There are some weeks where I only leave our property (read house and maybe backyard) once. And while I feel like I should maybe have a problem with that, I don’t. I’m a homebody. And a cheapskate. So drinks at home, movie nights on the couch, and dinners cooked in my kitchen (or delivery) will always win.
