Nathan’s first official part-time hours started yesterday and although I’m now having trouble keeping track of what day it is, I kinda loved having Monday not really feel so much like a Monday. The past three/four days were spent mostly offline which I loved as we got some big projects done and spent time with my family. But I’m paying for it today with a mile long to-do list and a Tuesday that feels more like a Monday. Hope you’re having a great week so far!
If you haven’t already checked out The Gnarly Whale sale, you should! All of the info is in the shop announcement :) And today I have an awesome post from Kristina about small businesses and how important you are to their stories. Tomorrow we’ll be back with our He Said, She Said series!

I love a good story. The kind of story that teaches the depth of something, pulls you in and makes you feel a connection with it. I also love a good small business. The kind of small business that starts from nothing and is fueled with the desire to succeed and the passion for what the business offers.
So what do these two things have to do with one another?
There is a story behind every small business and it’s always a beautiful one.
I’m Kristina. I blog at theStreetersUltd and am a Full Time SAHM, Part Time WAHM. I have a huge passion for helping small businesses succeed. I have experienced what it takes to run a brick-n-mortar location, I’ve experienced being in a partnership, I’ve experienced the handmade community, business networking and all of the in betweens. The short story is that I LOVE small business.I remember watching my dad build his small business from the ground up with a small computer desk and our dial-up Internet. I watched him grow it over the last 15 years into the company it has become today. My love for small business started early in life, as you can probably tell and I knew I wanted to one day own a business. I have now owned three and co-owned one. Today, I own two businesses.
One business I own is a creative outlet. It’s a business solutions company where I get to work in the inter-webs of small businesses and help them catapult their businesses in the right direction and watching them succeed. In addition to my small businesses, I founded the the A-List that helps bring quality businesses to the front line.
Each and every small business has a story. No matter how complex or how simple the story, it’s a story and each is a beautiful story. I’ve heard hundreds of small business stories, hundreds of “why’s”, hundreds of dreams and with every single story I fall more and more in love with small business.
For some, owning a small business is just a fun away to earn some extra income.
For others, owning a small business means achieving a dream. The dream of simply owning a business & being separate from corporate America. The dream of working from home and taking care of their children. The dream of providing a better life for their family.
No matter the dream.
No matter the why.
With each and every small business you support, you are helping achieve something great and are becoming apart of it’s story.
