Do you have a pet peeve? I sure do.
My lovely finance (soon to be wife ) violates that pet peeve just about every time we drive somewhere. She has radio ADD. Radio ADD? Yes, Radio ADD. Radio ADD is a “condition” in which you constantly change the radio station (even if it is a killer song from the 80’s which I may think is pretty awesome). The condition flairs up on long road trips. It is usually caused by a mediocre selection of radio stations driving through Middle of No Where Wisconsin. It is at its worst when the radio gets set to scan and goes through the dial multiple times. Grrrrr!
I do have to note that we also have CDs in the car as well as two internet connected smart phones with access to MP3s, You Tube, and Pandora. I would think that these are obvious “treatments”. However, Radio ADD tends to go untreated in our vehicle.
This really is my only complaint about our lovely Ashley. I am used to it and I wouldn’t change that about her. It really is who she is. I wouldn’t change anything about her. I mean it’s not like I’m about to marry an axe murderer or anything. Before anyone asks, yes I do have my own “condition”. I tend to take a random song and change the words to fit the situation. It usually involves inserting Ashley or our dog Meg into the song. The issue isn’t that my songs are terrible (they usually are). The issue is that I tend to go on a little too long until the point it isn’t that funny anymore. I am sure if you were to ask Ashley, she would come up with some other items. Yes, I am just that awesome.
On a serious note, I want to thank all of readers and supporters of Ashley’s 500 different projects. Wait, I just checked my email. It is now 501 projects. Since, she left the corporate world to devote herself full-time to working from home, she has never been happier. All of you are a big part of that. I personally love reading her posts and all of the comments. I really respect all of you out there that are
working for yourselves. It can be hard at times. I have seen Ashley work far more hours than a full time job requires. But I know she loves it and it makes her happy. Isn’t being happy what matters most?
What are your pet peeves that your significant other violates? Do they have any of you violate?
P.S – Nathan would love some snail mail, too!
